The Federation Values - Hope
True hope is much more than a general idea that things will get better. It is more than a belief in progress, which sees the world and people as getting better all the time, growing away from violence, ignorance and confusion.
When you read the word hope in the Bible, it is not wishful thinking. “Set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ" Peter 1:13.
Our children’s views about hope are:
· We hope that everyone keeps our village calm and clean.
· We hope that wars and fighting stop everywhere and there can be world peace.
· We hope that we all grow up to be nice people who are kind to others.
· We hope that we can all work together to keep our village a safe place.
At The Heritage Coast Federation, the children belong to a supportive and nurturing environment. The children are encouraged to try and keep trying. Opportunities such as collective worship, service participation, reflective spaces and community involvement (for example, the school choir singing for a church friendship group) offer the children a sense of hope and mechanisms to offer and experience hope.
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful" Hebrews 10:23.
